Death From Above 1979 fans will have been hip on this for a while now, but if you dig this new wave of post Daft-Punk (Justice) electronica acts, former DFA1979 bassist Jesse Keeler and DJ AI-P will get you off your ass with their debut album, The Looks. Drenched in choppy 80's synth riffs ironically reminiscent of Van Halen and vocoders galore, this album is a ton of fun and it hits disgustingly hard. "Paris" chases after dirty Boys Noize territory with reckless abandon while "Easy Love" is just that. This album is very derivative and predictable, but very well done and sounds great. It's basically a sexier, slightly more modern version of Daft Punk. Enjoy.
